Shawn Nicholls of Jordans, St George, was shot to death on Saturday night by a maked gunman while he was at a shop in the same area.
According to an eyewitness the 22 year old man was among a group of men when the masked man shot him several times.
Nicholls ran but collapsed and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he later died. Two men were also shot in the carpark at Kensington Oval last night after a football match.
Both incidents are being investigated by the police.
