Georgetown: Police are investigating a fatal accident with occurred on Tuesday about 05:30hrs on Montrose Public Road, East Coast Demerara in the vicinity of Apex School.
Dead is Zameer Isfehani, 45, of lot 12 Leonora West Coast Demerara.

The vehicles involved in the accident were identified as a motor lorry GVV2646 owned by Puran Brothers Disposal Inc., and driven by a 55-year-old resident of Goed Intent, West Bank Demerara and motor lorry GWW 9841 driven by a 52- year- old resident of One Mile Hill Foot Soesdyke, Linden Highway.
Enquiries disclosed that lorry GVV 2646 was stationary on the northern side of the northern carriageway of Montrose Public Road East Coast Demerara collecting garbage while Zameer Isfehani (Deceased) was standing at the rear of the lorry, when lorry GWW9841 which was proceeding east along the said road at a fast rate of speed and collided with the said porter and pinned him into the rear of the stationary lorry.
He was picked up in an unconscious condition and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver of Lorry GWW 9841 and the occupant Wendell Cort, age 46 years of lot 19 Kuru Kururu Soesdyke Linden Highway who recieved injuries about their bodies were assisted out of the lorry in a conscious condition and taken to the GPHC where they were treated and admitted patients in the Male Surgical Ward.
The driver suffered a heart attack and other injuries while the occupant suffered a fracture right leg.
