Lawmen destroyed over 900 marijuana plants yesterday in an extensive operation at Ashford, St John,which started late Thursday and ended yesterday morning.
The operattion involving 50 law enforcement officers, were led by members of the Police Drug Squad, also taking part were members of the Special Services Unit and Barbados Defense Force.
Public Relations Officer of the Police Force, Inspector David Welch, told Trakker News that some of the plants were above 15 feet tall, and were cultivated in three bushy areas.
He added that because of the difficult terrain the police burn the trees on location.No arrests were made and the police are continuing their investigations.
