The master plan for the Grantley Adams International Airport (GIGA) should be before Cabinet within a few days, this was disclosed by Minister of Tourism and International Transport Richard Sealy at the end of the first day of a civil aviation consultation at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford last night.
Sealy said the plan will cover everything from the physical development of the airport to the marketing and business planning and will also address the issue of better facilities for private aircraft.
According to the Minister, GAIA has a lot of space for development and provisions are being made for private sector involvement.
He said if a civil aviation industry is developed it can generate millions of dollars in foreign exchange.
