Georgetown : The Mayor and City Council today removed vendors that were operating along Water Street on the roadways and asked them to sell in the Stabroek Market. This move came after a driver attached to the M&CC hit down 74 year old Campton Lacon at the corner of Water Street and John Fernandes Warf access road yesterday.
The driver is in police custody assisting the lawmen in their investigation.
Lacon died on the spot.
