A mechanical fault was found on a Jet Blue plane at the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) yesterday evening.
The mechanical fault was detected just before the plane was about to take off to New York causing the passengers to be evacuated.
The captain of the aircraft to ensure the safety of his passengers elected to declare an emergency. Several members of the emergency agencies were dispatched to the aircraft but found no visible damage. One hundred and forty four passngers were on board the aircraft
