North West District :At about 11:30pm yesterday, two men armed with a handgun and a cutlass entered a mining camp at Cassawini Backdam, Barima River, North West District, and held up Randradin, 57 years, of Port Kaituma and Aaron Ramkarran, 37 years, of Johanna Cecelia, Essequibo Coast, and demanded gold.
During the incident Randradin was shot and injured to his left hand and Aaron Ramkarran to his right foot.
Randradin and Aaron Ramkarran have been admitted to the Pakera Village Hospital for medical treatment as the investigations continue.
