Minister of Tourism, Richard Sealy, thinks that the best thing that can happen to the regional airline LIAT is the low cost carrier Redjet.
Speaking in Parliament yesterday, Sealy said that the Government of Barbados made the right decision when it embraced Redjet.
"Let us face it, we can talk about ferries but the truth is that if we are going to move people around the Caribbean, we have to do so by air", Sealy said.
"If we accept that there are limitations of LIAT structural and otherwise, there are going to be other players involved in regional aviation", he added.
