Minister of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Water Resource Management, Dr David Estwick is suiting the Nation Publishing Company the publishers of the Nation Newspaper.
Estwick is suiting the newspaper over an series article published in the Daily Nation and the Sunday Sun from December 11 to 18 last year, alleging that he was among 11 members of the Government seeking an audience with Prime Minister Freundel Stuart to dissatisfaction with his leadership.
In the court documents signed by Estwick it is alleged that words used in the articles were calculated to disparage the Claimant (Dr Estwick) in his office as a Member of Parliament and a Minister of the Government of Barbados and were defamatory of the Claimant.
