Georgetown : Early today at around 2:00am suspected molotov cocktail was thrown at a building at Sheriff and Garnett Streets, Georgetown. The building houses the 499 Store, Timiely Store and Amavani Document Centre on the lower flat.
Investigations revealed that businessman Yogonand Goberdhan was aroused by a noise and upon checking found a southern glass window on the lower flat broken and a small fire in the yard. Pieces of broken glass and a quantity of channa were also recovered at the scene.
The fire was extinguished without causing any damage to the building.
