Veteran journalist Roy Morris has been appointed Editor in Chief of the Nation Publishing Company Limited, the publishers of the Nation newpapers.
Morris, a former Managing Editor of the Nation Publishing Company was dismissed from that post in 2007, after he was charged with raping a intern at the newspaper.
A source told Trakker News that on August 20 a staff meeting was held at 10 am and ithe announcement was by Chairman of the Board of Directors Harold Hoyte that Morris will be returning to fill the top post at the newpaper from September 16.
The position of Editor in Chief became vacant after Kaymar Jordan was fired from the post late last year. Morris is at present Editor in Chief of the online newspaper Barbados Today.
