East Coast Demerara : Chandradat Nandalall is listed stable in hospital this afternoon after undergoing surgery for a gunshot wound.
Today at around 9:00am, Nandalall, of Vryheid Lust,East Coast Demerara (ECD) was attacked and robbed of a quantity of jewellery, by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
The police confirmed that Nandalall was sitting on a bench at a carwash, at Le Ressouvenir, Railway Embankment, ECD, when the men rode up on a motor cycle and demanded that he hand over his jewellery that he was wearing at the time. He hesitated and the pillion rider shot him to his left arm, relieved him of the jewellery and they escaped.
