Essequibo : Motor cyclist Gordon Coates, 38 years, of Henrietta, Essequibo died in a road accident at Devonshire Castle, Essequibo Coast.
Driver of motor car PHH 6855 was proceeding along the roadway allegedly at a fast rate, when he lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a turn and collided with the motor cyclist who was proceeding in the opposite direction.
Gordon Coates received injuries and was admitted to the Leonora Cottage Hospital where he subsequently succumbed during yesterday December 27, 2011.
The driver of the motor car is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
