Barbadians will be using a multi purpose identification card before the middle of the year, the Government will be seeking $1.5 millon to implement the project when Parlament meet this morning after the Christmas break.
The multi purpose card was first suggested in 2009 by the late Prime Minister David Thompson as a high security replacement for the three major cards issue by National Identification and National Insurance and Social Security cards plus the driver's licence.
