The official opening of the refurbished Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation will be held tomorrow.This initiative has materialized through the continued efforts of Dr. Narendra Singh who is also the hospital’s Principal partner for the development of the Masters in Paediatrics Programme that is currently in its fifth month.The collaboration so far with Dr. Singh and his organization, Guyana Help the Kids, has resulted in:
The refurbishment of the equipment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to which in excess of C$100,000.00 was contributed. The commencement of the Masters in Paediatrics Programme which currently has five residents enrolled. The mobilization of funding for the Neonatal Intensive Care Training Programme for nurses
