Bridgetown.
The former Autodome building at Warren is currently being transformed into a spanking new mall, complete with a full food-court.
The cost of the combined upgrades to both the Supercentre building and the new mall is estimated between ten and fifteen million dollars.
Country manager of Neal and Massy, Frere Delmas told Trakker fifteen stores should be ready by the end of this month as part of the first phase of the new mall.
Additionally, the compounds of the Supercenter DaCosta Mannings combo store and the new mall will be linked by an extended car-park.
Delmas said store spaces in the mall have been in such high demand that they had to create a waiting list, which has since been narrowed down.
One of the most visible tenants of the new mall will be CIBC FirstCaribbean Bank, which will occupy the majority of the area that previously housed the BMW showroom.
Recognising that the new mall and Supercentre DaCosta Mannings Superstore will result in increased traffic, Neal and Massy has applied for permission to create an additional entrance from the ABC highway, along with an additional exit nearest the bottle depot.
That application is still pending.
