To add insult to injury the family members of murdered businesswoman Vindra Naipaul-Coolman heard in court today that she was also raped. This was revealed by one of the twelve accused as the case continues at the Hall of Justice. The court heard that the same man who had sex with her helped dismember her body after she was killed back in May,2007. Ronald “22” Armstrong told police that when a group of men went to kidnap Ms.Naipaul-Coolman, one of the men called Mr. “96” was armed with a gun, the gun accidentally went off and the X-tra Foods CEO was shot in the breast and jaw. Seeing that Mr. “96” was responsible for the shooting he was nominated to stand guard over Ms. Naipaul-Coolman in a makeshift camp. Armstrong said that another man told him that Ms.Naipaul-Coolman was suffering and Mr. “96” had sex with her. Armstrong then said in the interview, that same day, a Thursday, Ms. Naipaul-Coolman died. The trial resumes tomorrow when Defence Attorneys are expected to continue to cross-examine the police corporal who was responsible for making the written notes during the interview between Armstrong and Superintendent of Police Nadir Khan.
