Natahlee Burke , Statement and Peter Ram are among the 17 semi finalists of the rejudged Sweet Soca Competition announced by the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) yesterday.
Malika Hart, Keisha Christian and Keann Walters who were included in the orginal list of semi finalists have been excluded.
A new panel of judges listen to the 99 songs submitted foe judging Saturday and most of yesterday, there were watched by a team of observers selected by tent mangers and calypsonians, the adjudication process was observed by the arbiter.
Edwin Yearwoood, who was added to the semi- finals line up after the NCF announced a glitch had taken place in the system declined to re-enter the competition.
The new semi-finalists are Basil, Biggie Irie, Blood, Hypasounds and Blood, Brett, Hypasounds, Katalyst, Khiomal, Li'l Rick, Lorenzo, Mikey, Mr Dale,Natahlee and Peter Ram.
Leslie Lett, Scot Headley, Kirk Worrell, David Harris and Brian Cole were the judges.The semi-final stage of the competition take place this Friday.
