A new Central Revenue Authority was launched yesterday to embrace resources of the Customs and Excise, Inland Revenue and Land Tax departments and the Licensing Authority CRD.
The heads of these departments will remain in place but will report to a Commissioner General who will manage the authority.
Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler says the CRD would help Barbados to maximize revenue intake, while closing loopholes and other nefarious exit routes for leakage.
