Georgetown : Resulting from the police operations last Friday nine persons were caught operating private cars for hire and were charged accordingly.
Four of them appeared before Magistrate Chandra Sohan today at the Georgetown Magistrate Court.
Richard Aaron, 38 years of East La Penitence, Georgetown; Martin Charles, 39 years of Grove, EBD; and Ashen Cambridge, 41 years of Ann’s Grove, ECD, pleaded “guilty” and were each fined $75,000.00.
Calvin Calendar, 35 years of Brickdam, Georgetown, pleaded “not guilty” and was placed on $50,000.00 bail.
Arrest Warrants have been issued for the five others.
