Georgetown: The APNU+AFC is set to secure 33 seats in the National Assembly with a vote count totaling 206,817 over the PPPC’s 201,457 as Presidential Candidate David Granger is set to be elected the new President of Guyana.
“We have a lot of work to do so let the celebration be sober and short and get back to work and school and deal,” Granger said.
Minutes after the Guyana Elections Commission released final preliminary results for Monday’s elections which puts the Opposition Coalition ahead of the ruling party by six thousand votes,
“We worked hard and we are convinced now that the evidence is clear that the majority of the people have spoken.” Granger said.
These expression and release of results comes even as the ruling party continues to challenge the figures with claims of irregularities.
