No room for complacency says Stuart

Bridgetown.

There are no immediate terroism threats to Barbados and the rest of the region, but  the recent killing of Osama Bin Laden by the United States provides the Caribbean with the opportunity to reassess its security.

This view was expressed by Prime Minister of Barbados with Freundel Stuart, during discussion with General Douglas Fraser,Commander of the United States, South Command, at Government Headquarters yesterday.

"I expect that we have to get back to the drawing board and see how we will have to tweak the existing arrangements to make sure that our security is not compromised", Stuart said.

He pointed out that there is no room for complacency in relation to national security, and that Barbados will continue to work in collaboration with the United States to control crime.
