NOC inmates captured, dormitories go up in flames

A few hours after the inmates of the New Opportunity Corps (NOC) at Onderneeming on the Essequibo Coast would have been re-captured, a fire of unknown origin has destroyed at least three of its dorms.
It is unclear as to the source of the blaze but last evening all of the inmates for the facility for juvenile offenders had escaped triggering a widespread hunt by the Joint Services.
A Police Statement earlier in the day confirmed that “all the students are back at the institution….The rest of those who had left the compound, returned on their own during the course of today.”
