Bridetown,
Heavy overnight rains have caused flooding in the northern parishes of St. Peter and St. Lucy.
Several persons were trapped in their homes in the village of Round the Town in St. Peter, a number of roads are impassabe.
A Fire Service truck on its way to an emergency call was stuck in the flood waters for several minutes.
Government oficials will visit the affected areas this morning.
