Bridgetown.
The ruling Democratic Labour Party (DLP) has denied that it is responsible for a spate of recent advertisments published in the print media sponsored by a group called People Against The Return Of Qwen (PARO).
General Secretary of the DLP George Pilgrim, in a statement to the press said that he was alarmed and surprised that Leader of the Opposition Owen Arthur could accused the DLP of sponsoring the ads.
"I challenge Mr Arthur and the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) to state the receipt number issued to the DLP from the media houses in question", he urged.
"They can easiy check with the newspapers and ascertain their origin from the two publications. Conversely, Mr Arthur could tell Barbadians who in his party is responsible for the progaganda on the internet and on the blogs that have been trying to sully the Prime Minister's good name and those of his cabinet colleagues abeit, unsuccessfully", Pilgrim.
