Bureaucratic inefficiencies in Barbados must be eliminated for the country to achieve its true potential.
This was stated by Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Chris Sinckler, while addressing the 185th anniversary luncheon of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry earlier this week.
Sinckler said that although some public sector organisations and entities had been serving the country well over the years, some of them had become wholly inefficient in service delivery, extremely costly to maintain and weak in some managerial and operational systems.
"This is not to say that they have bad managers, but at a system and structural level several of them can no longer effectively deliver to the public that they are supposed to serve", Sinckler added.
