Eve Leary, Georgetown – Despite the recent police interventions, and results seen in the reduction of crimes, there seems to be a persistent armed gang, which continue to attack and shoot citizens.TrakkerNews raised this concern with the police commissioner and asked him what the authorities are doing to stem these attacks. In response Henry Greene said;"We are as concerned as you about the persons who are robbed and shot, but as you would know a lot of this has to do with the access to guns". Greene added that the force is still unable to plug that gap to which the guns are slipping into the country."Criminals are renting and buying guns from illegal dealers, but we are working with our intelligence people to break this stranglehold", the top cop added. He is hoping that this year the force will have a break through as to the origin of these guns.
