Georgetown – The Guyana Police Force is responding to an article published in the Stabroek News yesterday, under the caption “Linden residents appeal to ‘Top Cop’ over spate of hold-ups”.
The Police Force says that contrary to what is stated in the article, the camera footage captured during the robbery at A&R Cosmetics Store was not good enough to assist in the possible identification of the perpetrator, and in the of case of the robbery committed on Mr. Albert Smith called ‘Bolo’, who subsequently succumbed to his injuries, the camera was not in use at the time consequently no pictures/footage were obtained.
However, cognizant of the concerns expressed by residents, a team of ranks from the Tactical Services Unit was last night despatched to Linden.
