Diamond,W.B.Dem.- Youths from Golden Grove/Diamond on the West Bank of Demerara launched a police youth group with the aim to have their communities safe from criminal elements.
Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee who welcomed the move said the group will provide meaningful activities besides school, home and church.The Minister encouraged the youths to create a programme that will see the development of their community. He noted that once the group starts to service the community others will feel motivated to be part of the group.
This is the third police youth group in Guyana, the other two are Kuru-Kuru College and Yarrowcabra.
