Clarification of newspapers’ captions and statements – ‘GPHC staff’ charged and remanded’

Georgetown- Management of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation says thecaptions and statements published in the Saturday, November 27, 2010 editions of the Guyana Times, Guyana Chronicle and Stabroek Newspapers do not accurately represent the facts.

The GPHC management says the fact that the individuals who were involved in the altercation; and the alleged perpetrator who was subsequently remanded, are technically not GPHC staff. Those individuals are the staff of a janitorial service that recently won the contract to provide cleaning services to the hospital.
The hospital disassociates itself from those individuals and calls for a correction of those captions to be published.
