Drunkard succumbs hours after being hit down by speeding driver

Foulis, Enmore East Coast Demerara – An alcoholic from 3rd street Foulis in Enmore died yesterday at the Georgetown Hospital after he was pelted some 10 yards when he came into contact with the driver of a pickup. The man who is well known in the village as Duckbar, was reportedly heavily intoxicated and came in the path of the driver while on the railway embankment road. The man ended up with his hands and feet behind his back barely breathing. He was rushed to the hospital with both his hands and feet broken, succumbing hours later.

TrakkerNews was reliably informed that the police who is investigating the fatal accident may have been paid off to hide the case since the drunkard has no fix place of abode and is known to roam the streets often. However we were able to find his relatives in the village. His daughter lives in Foulis where he stays and his brother lives in the same village. TrakkerNews is the only news outfit to have this story, since no one knew about the fatal accident. The police attempted to dispute our contention about the driver who was released without being charged.

The police are claiming that they have the vehicle but the driver escaped.

The driver is said to be the son of a well known Government contractor who resides in the same village.
