North West District : A man has been handed over to the police today by a group of miners in the Aranka area, North West District, after he was apprehended during an attempt to rob their camp on Monday last An unlicensed .38 special revolver along with four rounds which he had in his possession at the time was also handed over to the police.
The police says that the suspect and another man had entered the mining camp of a Brazilian National and held the miners at gunpoint. During the incident the miners managed to overpower him, but his accomplice escaped.
