The Ministry of Health says there hve been a spoadic outbreak of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) in Barbados duringOut the past week.
Senior Medical Officer Dr Karen Springer says the ministry is is advising parents, guardians and teachers to take the necessary precautions to curtail the spread of the contagious disease.
HFMD is a viral illness which occurs mainly in children under ten years of age but adult cases are not unusual.
