Thirty five cases of cybercrime were investigated by the Royal Barbados Police Force in the last four years.
Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Erwin Boyce, made this disclosure while addressing a Cyber Security Forum at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre yesterday..
Boyce said most cybercrimes reported to the police often concerned threats or information revealed on a social network or through emails. They included things such as death threats and obscene photographs.
According to Boyce, the police force recognized the challenges and threats associated with cybercrimes and was looking to build capacity to deal with global impact.
