Prime Minister Freundel Stuart says there will be a compete reveiw and overhaul of all legislation connected with the rights of workers in Barbados soon.
Speaking during the May Day celebrations held at Browne Beach yesterday, Stuart said the debate on the Employment Rights Bill which began in the House of Assembly last week is only the first instalment.
"The Government is committed to reviewing every piece of legislation that touched and concerned the rights of workers in Barbados.We will make sure that the legislation is 21st century compliant and that the workers of Barbados in the context of the protections of their rights and the enhancement of their opportunities are no lagging behind workers in any other part of the", Stuart said.
"You can count of the Government to be continue to be vigilant in respect of the rights of the workers", he added.
