As negotiations continue between Petrotrin and OWTU (Oilfield Workers Trade Union), the public is a bit concerned and some has opted to the usual panic buying of gas. The union is still claiming that Pertrotrin owes the workers money in the form of variable pay or profit sharing from 2009-2010. However Petrotrin is claiming the company auditing showed their was a lost during that period.
In an effort to return the company to being the usual reliable supplier, Petrotrin is willing to negotiate an advance payment of 2011-2012 profit sharing monies. However this offer is being rejected by the OWTU, they are insisting they want the TT $145MILLION owed to the workers.
