Senator Irene Sandiford-Garner, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Health, was stabbed in the hand and robbed of her cellphone last night.
Sandiford-Garner was sitting in her car in the carpark at Supercenter at Warrens, St Michael, when a man armed with a knife demanded her cellphone.
A struglle took place, during the melee, Sandiford -Garner was stabbed in her hand, she was treated at the Queen Elizabeth and discharge.
Her assailant escaped with the phone.
