Passenger fined for assaulting LIAT worker

Bridgetown.

Fifty-nine year Ronald King, was fined $300 yesterday in the District A M agistrates Court yesterday after he admitted assaulting Jennifer Legall-Harris on the same day.

King, a Vincentian living in the United States, was checking in at the LIAT counter where Legall-Harris was working as a flight attendant.He connecting to St. Vincent and had two suitcases which he wanted to carry on.

Legall-Harris informed him that he would have to pay US$60 for the second bag which was to long to carry on.She told him to remove it from the scale but he refused to move or pay for it.

She removed the bag and placed it on the ground. As she was turning around King pushed her, the Police was informed and King was taken into custody.

Acting Chief Magistrate Deborah Holder fined him $300 and ordered him to pay it immediately or face three months in prison.
