Passengers on bus escape serious in accident

Bridgetown.

Passengers on a bus owned by Transport Board escaped serious injury last night, when it became involved in an accident with a car and a truck.

The incident took place near the Deighton Griffith School, in Christ Church,three ambulances, two fire vehicles medical personnel and members of the Barbados Defence Force responded to the accident.

Four commuters on the bus were  taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital along with  the driver of the car  Kadeem Legall, 23, of  Work Hall, St Philip.

Driver of the truck, Edwin Emmanuel , 44, received minor injuries and complained of chest pains, the driver of the bus Michael Shepherd was not injured.

Since the begining of the year, there have been a spate of vehicular accidents on the roads.
