Pastor attacks commerical banks

Bridgetown.

A popular pastor has accused he management of the banking sector in Barbados of being stacked with Masonic Lodge members dedicated to the demise of Christian churches.

Pastor Emeritus of The People’s Cathedral, Dr Holmes Williams, in a sermon yesterday said : “Some of the banks are so powerfully stacked by people who hate Christians, who hate the Gospel".

Williams attack came after a newspaper reported yesterday that deal for the church to buy a building owned by Banks Breweries' located at Wildey, St Michael for $12 million have fell through because the People's Cathedral was unable to come up with the money needed for the sale.

  According to Williams, four commerical banks had initially agreed to lend the church the money to purchase the property but eventually changed their positions.

He promised to launch a series of sermons, to be preached by people knowledgeable in the ways of the Masonic Lodge.

The People Cathedral is one of the largest churches in Barbados.
