Mahaicony: The police today are investigating a fatal accident that occurred last on the Bath Village Public Road, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara (ECD), which resulted in the death of pedestrian Benjamin of Supply, Mahaica, ECD.
According to the police, the driver of motor lorry GJJ 7722 was allegedly proceeding along the roadway at a fast rate when he lost control of the vehicle and struck down the 44 year old man and colliding with two parked motor cars.
Benjamin was taken to the Mahaicony Cottage Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the motor lorry has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
