PM joins in Amerindian Heritage Walk

Georgetown : Approximate 130 persons participated in a Heritage month walk as part of the activities for Amerindian Heritage Month.

Prime Minister Samuel Hinds was part of the walk under the theme “Promoting healthier lifestyles”. 
The Prime Minister addressing the gathering at the Sea Wall Band Stand stressed the need for more ways to improve contact among all the ethnic groups.   He recognised the long history of having relationships with people from various ethnic groups.

He pointed out that the walk does not only commemorate Heritage Month but also Caribbean Wellness Day which is being observed on September 10 by the Health Ministry.
