San Fernando: Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has expressed heartfelt concern for former prime minister Patrick Manning who suffered a mild stroke last evening.
As she prays for his recovery, the prime minister says she has advised the Minister of Health Dr Fuad Khan to make available to the former prime minister every resource necessary that may be required to ensure Mr Manning gets the best care possible.
She says Mr Manning is possessed of the strength of character and indomitable spirit that will help him through this health challenge and she feels confident that he will resume his duty of national service.
