Australia: Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar will tomorrow hand over to Australia's Prime Minister Julia Gillard the chairmanship of the Commonwealth.
The handover will take place at the opening of the 24th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Perth, Australia.
Addressing a civil society forum earlier today the prime minister said the time had come for a more official connectivity to assist the underprivileges and she promised that legislation will soon give birth to a civil society board for Trinidad and Tobago.
Prime Minister Persad Bissessar also held discussions today with officials of cable and wireless and oil giant BP.
