West Coast Demerara : At about 5:30 am today, two men entered the home of Narine Dyal at Anna Catherina, Canal No. 1, West Coast Demerara, and confronted his wife who was in the kitchen.
She put up a struggle during which one of the men dropped an object that was in his hand and the two men ran out of the home.
An alarm was raised and neighbouring residents gave chase behind the men who hid themselves in the nearby canefields.
The police responded to the report and went into the canefields and arrested the suspects.
The “object” dropped by one of the suspects was found to be a toy gun, while the other man was found in possession of a screw driver.
They are in police custody and charges will be made shortly.
