Georgetown: In light of investigations into allegations of rape levelled against the Commissioner of Police, Henry Greene, President Donald Ramotar has granted the Commissioner’s request for leave.
The Head of State told Editor-in-Chief of NCN Television 11, in an interview, that Assistant Commissioner, Leroy Brumell, will be serving in the capacity of Commissioner in the interim.
The President said that he has also communicated with the Minister of Home Affairs, Clement Rohee, requesting that his Ministry conduct external assistance in the investigations in order to expedite them.
