The Police Complaints Authority (PCA) has hire a investigator to probe into alleged misconduct by members of the Barbados Police Force.
Chairman of the PCA retired Justice Leroy Inniss,told Trakker News that the Authority and the investigator Leticia Wiltshire
held a meeting recently with Commissioner of Police Darwin Dottin.
According to Inniss the PCA and the Police are entering a new era in a bid to satisfy the public that all complaints against police officers are investigated.
Inniss said that Wiltshire has been on the job for the past two months,and has been liasing with the Police Office of Proffessional Responsibility to establish various operating systems and procedures.
He pointed out that the that the police still have to carry out the intitial investigations into complaints of misconduct by police officers; and if they are slow in providing information to the PCA it will hinder the work of the Authority.
