Georgetown-The police are continuing the search aimed at recapturing two prisoners who escaped from the Mazaruni Prisons yesterday. The two prisoners were among others who were on a recreational break in the prison compound when they were discovered missing at about 1330h.
They are Seon Hopkinson, 27 years of Blueberry Hill Squatting area, Linden, and also Stanleytown, Berbice, who was serving concurrent three-year sentences for robbery under arms, unlawful possession of firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition; and Carlton Sampson, 26 years of Crane Old Road, WCD, who was serving sentences for robbery under arms and escape from lawful custody.
