Port-of-Spain: The Police Service Association is holding talks with its members about what can be done to prevent any further disrepute being brought into the police service.
This comes as 13 officers are now before the courts, including seven on charges of murder and six others on charges of misbehaviour in public office.
Following today's discussion, the association will devise measures which can be implemented in the Police Service to ensure officers adhere to the rule of law.
Seven police officers who were assigned to the Robbery Squad remain in seperate cells at the Golden Grove Prison, after they appeared in court charged with three counts of murder for the shooting deaths of three Moruga residents.
Six officers once assigned to the Central Division Task Force, are out on bail after being charged for misbehaviour in public office.
