Georgetown : Police and prison officers attached to the Lusicnan Prison in the vicinity of the eastern tower were alerted by crashing sounds from bushes nearby and observed a male clad with a hoody. Despite the inclement weather in the wee hours of the morning, the lawmen fired a warning shot and combed the vegetative area but failed to apprehend the male.
However three bags containing the following items were found and lodged.
ü One hundred and forty-one packets of cigarettes.
ü Four cellular phones.
ü Eleven lighters
ü One power pack.
ü One ear piece.
ü One phone charger.
ü Fifteen packets of small-sized zip lock bags and
ü One thousand seven hundred and ninety-four (1,794) grams of cannabis.
An investigation has since been launched.
